Ireland: From Poverty to Riches
How does Ireland move from poverty to riches? In a short span, Ireland has undergone an economic transformation that few European countries can rival. Throughout most of the 20th century, Ireland was considered the "poor man" of Western Europe. However, the 1990s witnessed an astonishing surge, propelling the nation into a transatlantic business and multinational investment hub, earning it the moniker "Celtic Tiger." With a population of over 7 million, Ireland has become the headquarters for major tech giants, with over 700 US multinationals establishing a significant presence in the country. The Irish government capitalizes on its investment appeal, boasting a friendly low-tax environment, robust tech expertise, and the status of an English-speaking EU member state, all geared towards fostering continued growth. What factors drove this astronomical economic growth?
Renewable Energy
Ireland's commitment to harnessing renewable energy, with 40 per cent of its power sourced from sustainable means, plays a pivotal role in fostering the country's growth. The adoption of renewable sources aligns with global efforts to combat climate change, enhancing Ireland's environmental sustainability and reinforcing its image as an eco-friendly and responsible nation. This transition to renewable energy contributes to economic growth by reducing dependency on non-renewable resources, ensuring energy security, and mitigating environmental risks. The government's investments in renewable technologies, such as wind and solar power, not only create jobs but also attract international partnerships and investments, fostering a green economy. Moreover, the emphasis on renewable energy aligns with Ireland's positioning as a forward-thinking and innovative nation. It enhances the country's global competitiveness, attracts environmentally conscious businesses, and establishes Ireland as a leader in sustainable practices, driving economic development while addressing crucial environmental challenges.
Advancement in Information Technology
Ireland's growth received a substantial boost through strategic initiatives that attracted major tech giants like Dell, Google, and Intel, catalysing significant investments in the country. In 1990, the Irish government took a bold step by creating an investment-friendly environment, setting the stage for unprecedented economic development. The influx of tens of billions of dollars in investments from prominent technology companies played a pivotal role in Ireland's economic transformation. Dell, Google, and Intel established substantial operations and production facilities in the country, contributing to job creation, technology transfer, and the overall expansion of Ireland's tech sector. This strategic move not only enhanced Ireland's global competitiveness but also positioned it as a preferred destination for multinational corporations seeking a European foothold while reducing the country’s unemployment rates significantly. The presence of these tech giants fuelled innovation, research and development activities, and increased Ireland's economic resilience, ultimately fostering sustained growth and prosperity. The government's foresight in creating an attractive investment climate laid the foundation for Ireland's success as a tech hub on the global stage, propelling it to gradually rise from poverty to riches.

10 Reasons Why You Should Move to California
A warning to those who are thinking of moving here: most of the jobs here will make you work your ass off.
where indians live the most?
Jaywick is a genuine problem, but caused by the council decades ago, either by being too soft on local by-laws, or not closing loop holes for all year living in supposed holiday homes. The people, by accident, short sighted necessity, for a permanent nice view or whatever, should not have put themselves in that position, years back and now it's 2nd and 3rd generations living there in a dead end place! They could have sold those holiday homes other people and moved to one of hundreds of places where jobs are easier to come by.
What about Kent?
GOODBYE, LONDON #TAYLORSWIFT
why did you put a picture of high wycombe in the thumbnail its not even bad there
America turn colored states into crime areas
I have a very hard question for you. Why TF do you use photage from American towns when bitching about Derry? Makes no sense at all except rising suspicions that you're a loyalist trying to slender a nice town. And what is Londonderry? It's Derry, period! I expect some answers on my questions. If you don't answer it's the same like saying that I'm right and that you agree with me, admitting you messed it up.
Even though it’s not the best it’s still my home
3:01 😂😂😂😂😂
This is a fake Channel. Middlesbrough is on a higher level than this poster comprehends.
In terms of CRAP i suppose I agree but in terms of danger - certainly not. For danger you must venture far into the reaches of London suburbs such as Croyden. And PS. Where the hell does that narrators voice come from?
Can you do a thidio obowt bangor gwineth

This seems to be based on a limited knowledge of Norway. I constantly see posts of deilshious dinner plates from relatives in Norway and you dont say anything about the many benefits of those taxes like medical coverage. Much like Sweden. Amazon? Seriously? Amazon dosent even pay enough local tax here in the US considering how they use our roads waisting fuel leaving towns and cities with the consequences.
2:31 ah yes. Home. It has its ups and downs. Charming in areas and utter crapholes in others.
Odd voice.
Rich ? many are homeless FFS.
homelessness is a problem in most western countries it isn't unique to Ireland
Thanks for the update.I really appreciate the dedication in each video you post. The first step to successful investing is determining your goals and risk tolerance, To be successful in markets, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow.. You have changed my entire life and I continue to preach your name. Now I can say that thanks to Ms. Eunice Berthold I am improving my understanding of this whole world and making new big profits every week.
She deserves more awards and I was looking through the comments and saw this. I tried it and never regretted it. She is the best.
I am impressed by the way expert Eunice Berthold conducts business and makes statements. And I really like her quick answer
Eunice Berthold is amazing and the best crypto guard. 💯❤

Londonistan is worst town anyway
Esher Surrey....Estate agents, Pharmacies and off licences...High crime rate....Expensive...High unemployment...2024
THE ULTRA RICH ARE WAGING WAR AGAINST AVERAGE AMERICANS. All else is just jabber. Smoke screen.
FEW PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT GOVT PRINTING MONEY IS THE BASIC INFLATION DRIVER.
Most expensive cost of living but salary can't match.
The BBC would probably love to relocate the English populations and replace them with asylum seekers etc. Breaks my heart to think they are targeting it as "racist"!
Of course, I’m glad you did not mention Wrexham, because of course now it is not a town but a city?
Total shite. Not only random clips of other places in the UK, but a conference room with American flags on the table!
I'm currently working on a big construction project outside of Memphis, but I'm staying in Midtown. Midtown is quite nice. There is lots of old architecture and things are kept up pretty well here. I also stayed in the suburb of Germantown my first month here and that is a good and safe area. The locals tell me to stay out of the northern and southern neighborhoods of Memphis and you can tell when you are around those parts and look down the roads off the main streets that there is nothing good going on over there.
No… we’re full! Thank you! Please visit our neighbours instead! They’re awesome too!
I am confused. You mention at the beginning that there was a 14% decrease in EP holders, but then you conclude the video saying that the number of EP and S pass holders increased. So are expats leaving or staying?
How’s Canterbury
Most expensive city in the world and food mostly import from other countries 😂
It's no longer correct at this time! 😌
bet all the dislikes are salty argentinians after you named the falklands xD chile went to shit with all the inmigrants lol, dead bodies every day, we are the little mexico of south america xD
No go areas : Top 20 : Greenock , Auchinleck , Bellshill , Thurso , Kilbirnie , Paisley , Motherwell , Methil , Glasgow NE , Fraserburgh. , Kilmarnock , Johnstone , Blackburn , EK , Irvine , Linwood , Clydebank , Dumbarton , Glenrothes and Stranraer.
" lEADER SHIP " !!!
There is strict gun control in Asutralia which means that schools never get shot up and gun violence almost never happens. Much better to have a 'free' society where children at school have to learn drills for when their school is invaded by a crazed gunman. And it's disappointing to have to drive on roads where other drivers are strictly polliced on their drug and alcohol consumption. Your other 9 points are equally valid for why you would not want to live in Australia. Well at least you didn't begin your video knocking Australia with the New Zealand flag, like others have done.
Where the pictures taken 20 years ago ?
Did NOT age well
10 reasons to move in, 1mil reasons to move out. Do the math
Ireland has lost its way. I used to go regularly. Not anymore, sadly. Too many migrants have altered its uniqueness.
Their recent history and its inhuman past is not a place I would ever visit.!
Nice video! I'm not a native, so when I first learned about alaska, I thought it is ought to be the most laid-back and peaceful state in the US, I was shocked when some time later I found out that it has one of the highest crime rates
Horrible to hear an English accent describe Glasgow.
Everywhere will be miserable soon once illegals get put there.
Singapore is not for these category of people. 1. Pampered, entitled spoilt brats. (People who expects the wait staff to grovel at their feet). Meat dishes are served with bones hence no boneless meat unless otherwise stated. Service is efficient and fluid considering there is no tip culture and don't complain about not being served with napkins. In this city, if you ain't packing tissues/napkins, how the heck did you wipe your sweaty forehead with. 2. Negative people with "every silver lining has a cloud" attitude. Comments like "all these things are manmade and artificial". It shows your lack of understanding of your own existence. Everything is manmade and artificial since early humans left their caves and trees. For those clueless and disoriented, if you landed in this place, be advised that you are 1 degree North of the Equator, when the midday sun is at its zenith where only mad dogs and Englishman dare to tread.
When PR goes to the Olympics, they go as a country.
Most expensive and worst value for money. Unless you are a PAPpy fan.
